Lieutenant Kwan throws himself into a plasma stream in warp nacelle maintenance and is vaporized. It’s up to the crew to figure out why he would do such a thing.

Soon after Kwan’s death, Counselor Troi begins to have terrifying visions that turn out to be from Utopia Planitia… eight years ago during the construction of the Enterprise-D. Nothing is as it seems and Troi may share Kwan’s fate. This is the first of three ‘Trek appearances by Mark Rolston.
