kellyplanet.com v.25 upgrades

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a pleasant holiday season and a happy new year. I have decided that 2025 would be a good time to do a complete overhaul of the kellyplanet core. In years past, I liked to have this kind of thing done for January 1st. Considering I was away visiting family until the end of the year, I realized that getting everything done in time was just not going to be possible (and I figured this a month ago). My laptop is fantastic, but work like this requires my complete system from home. 

The last time I did this was KP v.23, but that was more of a big patch to KP v.18. Yes, I did some major upgrades to the STT system for 2024, but I am going all the way back to raw base code for the entire site, which is something not done in at least 7 years. 

What does this mean for you? Hopefully not that much. Aesthetically, I am basing everything on KP v.23 with some minor upgrades to typography and layout, cleaner code execution, things like that. My goal is to completely replace the header and footer (to take advantage of new functionality) and try to keep all the stuff in between virtually unchanged. That is not nearly as easy as it seems.

So for at least the first part of January 2025, my office is in CODE MODE. This will not affect video publication, regular STT updates, or any of my regularly scheduled posts. There are STT upgrades on the table (or my whiteboard as it is), but I'll post about that in the STT thread. At some point, I will have to temporarily shut parts of this site down for beta testing, but that will be announced beforehand and done during my slowest traffic times to minimize your inconvenience.
