kellyplanet's NEW YouTube Channel!

I've been in production and am finally ready to announce our new YouTube channel at youtube.com/kellyplanet!

This channel features Star Trek episodes with plot breakdowns, reference explanation, and other related information by erickelly.

I have chosen to start with Lower Decks because it constantly references all of 'Trek canon and is probably the most relatable to the most people. The entire first season is already available and I am in production on season 2. There are nearly 1000 episodes in all of Star Trek, so I have my work cut out for me.

Each episode will also be available here at kellyplanet.com, but I publish to YouTube first, so you'll want to head over there and like and subscribe.

These aren't like 'talk into your phone' kind of videos, each one takes a ton of production and averages about 10 minutes. I meticulously go through each episode and write a script with all the references, related media, and plot points. The script is recorded on camera and then hours and hours are spent in Adobe putting it all together with clips, text and media overlays, sound design... it takes a while.

I think superfans like myself will enjoy the insane level of detail that goes into these episodes. It is my hope that casual fans, or those unfamiliar with 'Trek, will be introduced the the universe millions of us have loved for decades.

It's also a quick way to go through Star Trek without Paramount+ 😉
