Oh Peeps, you know, those marshmallow things that no one actually eats. Well, at least no one that I know of. Apparently, somebody eats them. According to their sales, it`s a whole lot of somebodies.
Peeps have been manufactured in Pennsylvania by the Just Born company since 1953. Located in Bethlehem, they also make things like Mike and Ike, Hot Tamales, and jelly beans.
Until the end of the millennium, Peeps only came in one flavor and in only three colors: yellow, pink, and white. They were also almost always a candy exclusive to Easter.
Things have changed since then. Now Peeps come in all kinds of colors, and flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
They are also not just for Easter anymore. Since 2014, Peeps have been made for other holidays and are available all year.
I don`t particularly like Peeps, but they are all made in Pennsylvania. Go PA!
