Besides Galyn Gorg, many other `Trek alumni were in those movies: Peter Weller, Kurtwood Smith, Ronny Cox, Ray Wise, Gabriel Damon, Miguel Ferrer, Stephen Lee, John Glover, Mark Rolston - some of those have been on `Trek more than once. Anyway, this article is about Ms. Gorg... Her first `Trek appearance was as Korena in the excellent DS9 episode The Visitor from season four. Her character would marry (and later divorce) the older Jake Sisko who was played by Tony Todd (I did a Trek/Gate article about him a few weeks ago). She later shows up on Voyager as Nori, an Ilari in the episode where Kes was possessed by Tieran in Warlord. A year later, Gorg was on SG-1 as Kendra, a former goa`uld host on the planet Cimmeria. It looks like his career is mostly TV and small roles in film. I think he`s a pretty great actor. His first `Trek appearance was as Vorin in the seventh season TNG episode Homeward (with Paul Sorvino as Worf`s brother). He was on Voyager as Lt. Pete Durst twice and then again as the Vidiian Solan in Faces. He made a single appearance on DS9 as Elias Giger - a guy who was convinced people eventually get old and die because our cells get \"bored\". On SG-1 he played a cloned...um not android, but a programmed character... named Lotan. The situation was Lotan was created to act as liaison between the Gadmeer and Enkaran peoples. The former was taking over the latter`s planet and terraforming it to fit their needs - which would eradicate the Enkarans. For the first two seasons, we hadn`t met any others of his species and he was thought to perhaps be the only one. Auberjonois was on `Trek both before and after DS9. Well... sort of. He had the role of Colonel West in 1991`s The Undiscovered Country, but his scenes were cut from the theatrical version. Those scenes were restored for the home media versions. I find this interesting for two reasons- A: Starfleet was modeled after the United States Navy, and there is no rank of Colonel (and I think he is the only one ever is Starfleet). B: his rank was in dialogue only. The uniform he wore in the movie showed a rank of Vice Admiral (which does make sense). Auberjonois also made an appearance in the SG-1 episode The Other Side in 2000. He played the leader of the Eurondans named Alar. This character was revealed to be super racist and Nazi-esque as he did not have a great opinion of Teal`c. (the OG, not Sharlto Copley... he`s a great actor though) Mr. Shultz has portrayed Lt. Reginald Barclay (autistic?) five times on TNG and six times on Voyager...AND the feature film First Contact. That is...either as Barclay, or the hologram version of said character. Not everyone agrees with me, but I absolutely LOVE ol` Reg. I recall a comment on an article I did about him years ago - the person was kind of bothered that his name is spelled that way (as opposed to Barkley perhaps). So what about SG-1? Shultz was a character called \"The Keeper\" (kind of like Star Trek`s TOS character by the same name). Like Tamlyn Tomita in my last post - Tagawa is from Japan, not China. She was Chinese Ambassador (Tomita is from Japan) Shen Xiaoyi for two episodes. Once Star Trek: Picard came along, Tomita portrayed baddie Commodore Oh for six episodes in 2020. Andrew Robinson has played a Cardassian more than anyone else. When it comes to Ferengi characters, Armin Shimerman is king. Long before Quark was ever a thing, he played one of the first Ferengi ever: Letek in the 5th episode of TNG - The Last Outpost. The next season, he played DaiMon Bractor in Peak Performance. Once Deep Space Nine came along, Shimerman would put on the ears as Quark for all but 18 episodes. In fact, he also played Quark on TNG, Voyager, Lower Decks, and Very Short Treks. Quark was supposed to be in Insurrection, but those scenes got cut. Oh yeah, Shimerman was also the Betazoid Gift Box in TNG`s Haven, and he played a human character named Herbert Rossoff in DS9`s excellent Far Beyond the Stars. This guy was busy. A Zibalian "Collector", Fajo kidnapped Lt. Commander Data and led the crew of the Enterprise to believe the android companion had been killed in a shuttle accident. Rubinek replaced David Rappaport as Fajo after the former`s untimely death. His most prominent `Trek role was probably Vedek Yarka from DS9`s Destiny episode. He also played Jamin in Terra Nova from Enterprise - these were all from the 90`s. Avari also appeared on SG-1 as Daniel Jackson`s father-in-law from the planet Abydos named Kasuf a total of three times. BUT BEFORE THAT he played that exact same character in the Stargate feature film four years earlier.
