Seems like ham to me, but I’m used to American bacon.

I always thought Canadian bacon was just thin ham. That’s what it tastes like to me, and I figured
that was the kind of thing those tricky Canadians would come up with.

But no, it’s not ham because it’s cut from the back, not the leg. It’s actually from the same cut as
pork chops. American bacon, or real bacon as I call it, is usually cut from the side of the belly.

Canadians call that delicious stuff bacon just like we do, they don’t use the term Canadian bacon
in Canada, they call that back bacon.

And that’s what they think bacon is over in the U.K. as well.
