Most of the time, State College is pretty normal place. It’s located at the geographic center of Pennsylvania and is home to Penn State University and about 41,000 people. During Penn State home football games, the population skyrockets up to 230,000, making it temporarily the third largest city in the state. That’s like going from Concord, NH to Richmond, Virginia in a matter of hours. It probably helps that Matt West Beaver Stadium is the second largest in the country.
