The planet Atrea’s molten core has stopped spinning, and you know that’s very bad if you’ve seen 2003’s The Core. The Enterprise is there to help out a local human geophysicist who claims to be Data’s mother.
Fionnula Flanigan has already appeared on Deep Space Nine (she’ll also play a Vulcan on Enterprise), and here she is as Noonien Soong’s supposed wife. Things aren’t what they seem, and Data has to make a very important decision. Oh yeah, Atrea ends up being fine, of course.
