Sisko builds a replica of an ancient Bajoran ship that supposedly made it all the way to Cardassia 800 years ago. Think Kon Tiki.
Jake joins his dad and on the way we learn that he is going to defer his writing fellowship in New Zealand for at least a year. This is also the first hinting of Sisko’s future relationship with Kasidy Yates. We also get to meet Dr. Elizabeth Lense, who beat out Bashir for Valedictorian back in the day.
