Groundhogs do all kinds of stuff I didn`t know about.

Today I want to talk about groundhogs. You may not call them that, they are also known as woodchucks, or whistle pigs, or land beavers... gotta watch out for those land beavers.

I`m from Pennsylvania, so I`m pretty familiar with groundhogs. They are actually rather interesting rodents, but there are some things about them I didn`t know.

For instance, they can swim. Pretty well. I guess that makes sense because they are kind of like beavers, but I`ve never seen a groundhog in water.

The weirder thing is, at least to me... groundhogs climb trees? Apparently they do, and that`s a normal thing for them. I`ve also never seen a groundhog in a tree... and I literally grew up in the woods.

If you would have asked me yesterday if groundhogs climb trees, I would have said I dunno?
