Water horses? Not so much.
Let`s talk about Hippos. They`re kinda cute, but they sure are mean. They kill like 500 people every
year, that`s way more than sharks... and hippos are herbivores.
Hippopotomai, or Hippopotamuses - both are correct in English - I try to go by the if it`s Latin - ai,
if it`s Greek - ususes... Hippopotamus means `river horse` in ancient Greek.
Anyway, what I find interesting is that the Hippo`s closest relatives are cetaceans: whales, dolphins,
and porpoises. Which all once lived on land. So before they decided to become aquatic again, whales
probably looked much like hippos do now. I dunno.
