They might eat meat, but not from the jungle.
I`ve talked about this elsewhere, but I find it interesting. When you think of Venus Fly Traps, you
might think of some exotic jungle location, perhaps South America or the Congo.
Makes sense, seems like a plant that you`d find in a hostile environment. Truth is, Venus Fly Traps are
only native to one place and it`s not that exotic. The Carolinas.
Of course, Native Americans knew about these plants forever, but they didn`t make into European records
until 1768. Venus Fly Traps are way too small to be a problem to humans, but I always figured a
carnivorous plant must be from the jungle.
