Dr. Mora Pol visits the station because the Bajorans think one of their probes has located Odo`s home world.

They don`t find any changelings, but they do discover a lifeform similar to Odo before evacuating the planet due to strange gas exposure during a seismic event. Deep Space Nine then gets terrorized by some kind of monster, Bashir gets attacked, and its up to Odo and Pol to figure a way to stop it before anyone else gets hurt.
