We are getting a bunch of Halloween season movies just before October arrives. Let`s check `em out.
Hocus Pocus 2 comes out tomorrow, which fans have been waiting for since 1993.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy are all returning, as well as Doug Jones. Yes, he is Saru on Star Trek Discovery.
This movie has a huge built-in fanbase, but you can only catch in on Disney+ as it won`t have a theatrical release.
Smile also comes out tomorrow, which is rated R for violent content, grisly images, and language. As I mentioned in the parent article, this film seems to be the most traditional of the season`s horror movies.
The lead is a female because of course it is, but you`ve probably never heard of Sosie Bacon. Featured is Kal Penn, the guy who plays A-Train from The Boys (Jessie T. Usher), and Kyle Gallner.
Gallner is a horror veteran, with both the Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street remakes under his belt. And he`s from Pennsylvania.
Earlier this week, Rob Zombie`s The Munsters came out and the critics have been tearing it apart. I haven`t seen it yet, but it is a Rob Zombie film based on a campy 1960`s television show - so give it a break.
Dan Roebuck plays Grampa, and he is also from Pennsylvania. 😉
