Counselor Troi decides to take the bridge officer`s test, which comes with promotion to full Commander for some reason. Data finds himself on a planet with a pre-industrial society and he has android amnesia.

The town is suffering from radiation poisoning and Data tries to save everyone while figuring out just who he is. One thing is for sure, he`s not like anybody else. There are elements borrowed from Mary Shelley`s Frankenstein, which isn`t a bad thing. Yeah, Troi is a Commander now, which I think is a little excessive - but there is no where to go but up.
