Kai Opaka wants to check out the wormhole, so Sisko, Kira and Bashir take her on a field trip to the Gamma Quadrant. The Yangtzee Kiang crashes on a moon full of soldiers who cannot die.
Turns out this moon is a penal colony where the punishment is to fight, die, and be revived over and over again. The B story is just Dax and O’Brien flying around looking for the missing crew. Jonathan Banks makes a guest appearance and the future of Bajor is altered forever.
