There are some Bajorans on a moon and they don’t want to leave. Jake and Nog want to sell some self-sealing stembolts. The former has been done before and the latter will be referenced again on Deep Space Nine.
Kira needs to convince a guy to leave the moon so Bajor can destroy all life on it for energy reasons. Through trades, Jake and Nog end up with some realestate, which Nog considers to be just dirt. Everything works out in the end of course. Unless you are Brian Keith’s character. This is the first we hear of Cardassian yamok sauce and self-sealing stembolts, both of which will come up again.
