Star Trek & Stargate: LEON RIPPY
Starting off this series with the earliest Trek/Gate crossover (since the original Stargate movie didn’t come along until 1994) – Leon Rippy. The veteran character actor portrayed L.Q. “Sonny” Clemmons in the The Neutral Zone (TNG: 1×25 – 1988). A 20th century throwback country music star cryogenically frozen and thawed out in the 24th century. Data even had a guitar replicated for him. When Stargate hit theaters, he was also Major General W. O. West who was the military commander of the Stargate Program – and the superior officer to Kurt Russel’s Colonel Jack O’Neill.
