It’s not really steak either, but it’s kind of tasty.

Ah, Salisbury steak. It’s not really steak, but it’s kind of tasty. This was something to look forward to
during lunch when I was in school.

I always just assumed it was named for the city in England. Seems like the kind of food an English
person would come up with.

Not even close. The ground meat dish was named after the guy who came up with it – in New York –
James H. Salisbury. This was like 1897 and has nothing to do with England. The closest dish actually
comes from Hamburg in Germany.

Yeah I was way off.
