This is the last episode of Season Two, and Paramount wanted to make even more money than they already had with their multi-Emmy winning show… so we get this load of “clipshow”

The writing of TNG had vastly improved by this episode, and this will introduce us to Season Three.. which will, of course, culminate in one of the best TV shows…EVER.
