Star Trek & Stargate: RENE AUBERJONOIS

Rene Auberjonois is famous as Odo, the Constable of Deep Space Nine who appeared in all but five episodes. For the first two seasons, we hadn`t met any others of his species and he was thought to perhaps be the only one. Auberjonois was on `Trek both before and after DS9. Well... sort of. He had the role of Colonel West in 1991`s The Undiscovered Country, but his scenes were cut from the theatrical version. Those scenes were restored for the home media versions. I find this interesting for two reasons- A: Starfleet was modeled after the United States Navy, and there is no rank of Colonel (and I think he is the only one ever is Starfleet). B: his rank was in dialogue only. The uniform he wore in the movie showed a rank of Vice Admiral (which does make sense).

Auberjonois also made an appearance in the SG-1 episode The Other Side in 2000. He played the leader of the Eurondans named Alar. This character was revealed to be super racist and Nazi-esque as he did not have a great opinion of Teal`c. Ya know, since Christopher Judge isn`t a white guy.
