Deep Space Nine REJOINED 4×06
A Trill science team boards the station to work on creating the first artificial wormhole. The leader of the team is Dr. Lenara Kahn and Dax tells Kira that she used to be her wife. Yeah, hold on.
How’s this work? Well… Lenara’s symbiont was married to Jadzia’s symbiont when they were hosted by Nilani and Torias, respectively. This was decades ago. Remember, Torias was tragically killed in a shuttle accident and re-visiting past relationships is a big taboo in Trill society. There is a pretty intense kiss between Terry Farrell and Susanna Thompson (yes I included it) that was rather controversial at the time (1995). The point of this story is about love, not two beautiful women kissing on screen.
I summarize the plot and point out and explain all the references so you don’t have to
